In exclusive interview with MundoMaritimo during the conference held in Lima, Peru, Jacob Sipple, Marketing and Communications Manager AMER, commented on the importance for Kalmar to broaden the client network in the region: “We are looking to Have the opportunity to speak with customers, build a contact network and being aware of industry news,” said the executive.
Leaving a footprint
TOC Americas is the ideal event to keeo up to speed on what’s going on in the industry, from ports, terminals, carriers and all sorts of technological advances, therefore the gathering of industry experts constitutes the perfect scenario to “see and be seen”. Kalmar knos this and through its presence in TOC Americas it is looking to boost “brand and product promotion, as we expect to be in our customers mind when they need solutions,” said Sipple.
With operations in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Panama, Kalmar wishes to grow in the services and automation areas. “The Industry is changing and customers are being challenged to fulfill market needs. Kalmar has solutions that definitely can help our customers to improve their productivity,” added the marketing manager.
As is in all markets, the Latinamerican region has its pros and cons when it comes to business. Despite the political instability that may affect investments, the region’s potential is huge, whihc turns Latin America into a very attractive location for the development of new businesses.
